Music - Compositions
Personal statement
Below is a selection of tracks that I have either covered (for fun) or written myself. I enjoy making music, but most of all I like to play the drums. I own a Roland TD6-K V-Drums kit, and it is probably the best thing I have ever bought. Although the TD6 module is the value package, what it can do is amazing. I have upgraded the snare pad with a PD-80R mesh head pad which allows me to play rimshots as well as snare, the bass trigger with a KD-80 mesh head pad so that I can use my Tama Iron Cobra II double pedal. I also upgraded the hihat pad with a triple trigger CY-12H V-Cymbal. Unfortunately the TD6 only uses two of the triggers, but it has a nice feel. Anyway... enough of that. Have a listen to my tracks...

Note: All tracks are 56Kbp/sec - 22,050 Hz - MP3 format files.
  • Amazonia   (2m 46s)
Very rythmic, has a large number of percussive sounds.
  • Angel   (5m 19s)
This uses a poor example of an acoustic guitar, although the track is quite nice.
  • Apollo Eleven   (5m 33s)
This dance track is based on the famous Apollo 11 moon landing and uses some samples taken from the landing itself.
  • Drum Warm-up   (1m 24s)
This is a segment of me playing my kit. I was basically having a practice.
  • Indian Dream   (9m 29s)
This track is an ambient techno kind of thing. Some really nice tabla samples here.
  • La Rosa Del Sud (The Southern Rose)   (4m 57s)
This is a bit of a rip off of a well known classical piece. I find it quite relaxing.
  • Latino Summer   (4m 56s)
A "jolly" latin feel track. Reminded me of summer months. Hense the title!
  • Mission Impossible   (3m 42s)
Well thats what it is! My own version of the well known soundtrack.
  • Rythm Cultures   (2m 40s)
This is a tabla and drums kind of battle. I was just playing around with rythms.
  • Tell me how you are   (4m 57s)
A sort of balady kind of track. Some nice drums in this.
  • The Epitaf (Le Epitaph)   (4m 55s)
This is a nice ambient techno style track. I was going through a phase of misspelling things at the time!.
  • The Sleeper (ambient_mix)   (7m 16s)
Another techno style track! I was generally quite pleased with this one.
  • The Sleeper (G-Man remix)   (8m 52s)
My mate 'G' liked it so much he asked me to do a remixed, more dub stylie drum'n'bass version. And here it is!
